Minutes: The committee received statements from the following members of the public:
Virginia Lewis made a statement in support of Letcombe Regis Village Hall Recreation Ground Trust’s application to upgrade its Sports Pavilion; she outlined details of their bid and the potential users of the committee.
Catriona Galbraith made a statement in support of Letcombe Regis Parish Council’s application to create two new tennis courts. · They would be happy to add netball and basketball lines if required. · The club is to provide access to anyone wanting to play tennis, not just club members and there would be a pay and play facility. · There would be free taster sessions for both adults and juniors. · Membership fees would be set at a low rate of £30 per year for adults and £10 per year for juniors. · Disabled members and wheelchair tennis players were welcome. · Other funding streams are also being pursued.
Martin Hollis made a statement in support of Blewbury and District Brass Band’s application for “community step-up to brass” instrument purchase. · This application is about progression for learners. · A formal partnership exists between the ban and the Oxfordshire County Music Service.
