The following appeals have been allowed by the Planning Inspectorate: -

 

(i)         Appeal by Mr S Munday against condition number 2 of planning permission STA/8763/4 for the erection of a small scale wind turbine at 3 High Street, Stanford in the Vale.  The decision to grant the application was made by the Deputy Director (Planning and Community Strategy) in accordance with powers granted to him under the Council’s Scheme of Delegation.  A copy of the Decision Notice is attached at Appendix 1.  No reference to costs was made with this notice;

 

(ii)        Appeal by Carpetright plc against the Council’s decision to refuse to permit the display of two internally illuminated flex-face fascia signs and two non illuminated poster frames at Unit 2A, Fairacres, Marcham Road, Abingdon (ABG/505/75A).   The decision to refuse the application was made by the Deputy Director (Planning and Community Strategy) in consultation with the Chair/Vice-Chair of the Development Control Committee.  A copy of the Decision Notice is attached at Appendix 2.  No reference to costs was made with this notice.

 

Dismissed

 

The following appeal has been dismissed by the Planning Inspectorate: -

 

(i)                  Appeal by M & W Richardson against the Council’s decision to refuse to permit the erection of a replacement dwelling including linked garage at Chilswell Farm Villa, Boars Hill (CUM/18846/3).  The decision to refuse the application was made by the Deputy Director (Planning and Community Strategy) in consultation with the Chair/Vice-Chair of the Development Control Committee.  A copy of the Decision Notice is attached at Appendix 3.  No reference to costs was made with this notice;

 

(ii)                Appeal by Mr D Ridgeway against the Council’s decision to refuse to permit an outline application for the erection of one dwelling on land at Hillview, Shrivenham Road, Longcot (LON/16205/6-X).  The decision to refuse the application was made by the Deputy Director (Planning and Community Strategy) in accordance with powers granted to him under the Council’s Scheme of Delegation. A copy of the Decision Notice is attached at Appendix 4.  No reference to costs was made with this notice.

 

(iii)               Appeals by Tapecrown Ltd against the decisions of the Council to:-

(1)                Refuse to permit an outline application for the cessation of lorry park use and the erection of a new building for business use (648m2) with new parking and turning area, as well as the provision of a new access onto the A420 route and the closure of two existing accesses (GCO/2087/21-X);

(2)                Refuse to permit the provision of a new access onto the A420 route and the closure of two existing accesses (GCO/2087/22).

on land at the Faringdon Business Park, A420, Great Coxwell.

 

The decision to refuse these applications was made by the Deputy Director (Planning and Community Strategy) in accordance with powers granted to him under the Council’s Scheme of Delegation. A copy of the Decision Notice is attached at Appendix 5.  No reference to costs was made with this notice.

 

(iv)              (iv)       Appeal by Mr J Bell against the Council’s decision to refuse to permit the construction of a dwelling and garage on land at 5A Kingfishers, Grove.  The decision to refuse the application was made by the Deputy Director (Planning and Community Strategy) in accordance with powers granted to him under the Council’s Scheme of Delegation. A copy of the Decision Notice is attached at Appendix 6.  No reference to costs was made with this notice.
