To adopt and sign as a correct record the minutes of the committee meeting held on Wednesday 4 February 2014 (previously circulated).

The minutes of the meeting held on 4 February 2014 were agreed as a correct record of the meeting and the chair signed them.

Urgent business and chairman's announcements

Minutes:

The next committee will take place on 18 November 2014, in Abingdon. The closing date for applications for both the Capital Community Grants Scheme, and the New Homes Bonus Policy Scheme, is 15 September 2014. Area Committees will consider applications for both of the schemes in November.

To consider the head of corporate strategy’s report.

Minutes:

The committee considered the head of corporate strategy’s report. This set out details of six applications, that the council had received, for capital community grants, requesting a total of £22,883. The report also set out the financial position, there being £26,898 remaining in the current year’s budget, which included £3,395 of unallocated funds and underspend carried forward from the previous financial year.

 

The committee considered each application, assessing it against the grants criteria and awarding grants as follows:
