To consider the report of the head of legal and democratic services which asks Council to pass a formal resolution to adopt its chosen form of executive arrangements for implementation immediately following the May 2011 district elections (attached)

Minutes:

Council considered the report of the head of legal and democratic services which asked Council to pass the formal resolution to adopt new governance proposals for the discharge of the council’s executive functions and responsibilities to meet the requirements of the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007. Public notice had been given of the proposals which were set out in the appendix to the report. 

 

RESOLVED: toadopt the leader and cabinet executive model as the council’s new executive arrangements under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 as set out in the document appended to the report of the head of legal and democratic services to the Special Council meeting on 8 December 2010 from the third day after the local elections in May 2011.
