To consider the head of community services’ report.

Minutes:

Cabinet considered the head of community services’ report, which sought approval to appoint a contractor to refurbish the wet side changing facilities at Faringdon Leisure Centre.

Cabinet noted that the works could require three separate contracts due to their specialist nature.  The tender deadline had been moved to 25 January 2019.  Cabinet was asked to delegate authority to appoint contractors to undertake the works, subject to the cost being within budget and the preferred tender being within the tender specification.

Cabinet concurred, but asked officers to ensure that the section 106 contributions funding these works would not expire before the works have been completed and the contributions spent.

RESOLVED: to authorise the head of community services, in consultation with the cabinet member for community services, to appoint contractors to refurbish the wet side changing facilities at Faringdon Leisure Centre if the tendered sum is within the approved budget of £177,500 and the works comply with the required specification.
