The development of the Vale of White Horse District Council Corporate Plan 2020-2024 pdf icon PDF 139 KB

Cabinet, at its meeting on 16 October 2020, will consider the report of the acting chief executive – transformation and operations on the corporate plan 2020-2024.

 

The report, which Cabinet will consider on 16 October 2020, is attached. The report incorporates appendix 4, which has been updated following the Scrutiny Committee meeting on 28 September 2020. 

 

Cabinet’s recommendations will be circulated to all councillors.

Council considered Cabinet’s recommendation, made at its meeting on 16 October, on the corporate plan for 2020 to 2024. 

 

Councillor Hallett, Cabinet member with responsibility for the corporate plan, introduced the item and thanked those who had responded to the consultation.  The feedback had been positive and valuable.  As a result, the plan had been amended and had received Scrutiny Committee’s support.    

 

Those councillors who expressed a view welcomed the successful engagement with the public and the incorporation of their views in the plan. Councillors welcomed the incorporation of targets to address the climate emergency and to build healthy communities.

 

Councillors thanked officers for their work on the plan, the public for the encouraging feedback and both the Climate Emergency Advisory Committee and Scrutiny Committee for their input into the content of the plan. 

 

RESOLVED: to adopt the Vale of White Horse District Council Corporate Plan 2020-2024 as set out in the report of the acting deputy chief executive – transformation and operations, to Cabinet on 16 October 2020, with a marketing material launch following on 30 October 2020.
